Kata Clinic at San Jose Buddhist Judo Club

Kata refers to the study of judo using pre-arranged sets of movements. It is an excellent way to study fundamental concepts of judo such as kuzushi (off balancing). Study of judo kata is required to advance to shodan (first degree black belt) and higher levels, but students of all levels can benefit.

There is a kata clinic coming up on March 12th and 13th, hosted by San Jose Buddhist Judo Club. It’s open to USJF members of all ranks, minimum age 11, no prior experience necessary. The fee is $60 for both days or $30 for one day. You can attend just Saturday or just Sunday, or both days. You are all encouraged to go!
